Thanks for the replies. My laptop broke so I had to get a replacement.
OK, I wrote to Sainsbury's, they said that they have requested that the charge was cancelled and would confirm once they received a reply. Should I just rely on that or still appeal just in case it isn't cancelled?

Yes, they need to confirm in writing but you can still appeal to them and advise them that Sainsbury's has already requested cancellation0 -
