Neighbour who will not pay for painting job. Intends to Cheat me

I took on a painting job for a neighbor. I took it on more for networking and his connections than for the money. He knows a little about builders and property.
Between us we painted 5 rooms, it took 7 days. One room was nasty, it took the best part of a day to scrape the wallpaper off the wall. We also did some cleaning up also.
Unfortunately, he decides to pay me £100 and he said would pay me the rest later. Saying that he will pay me later on. It has been 4 months now and I can't get a date from him or an amount. He intends to cheat me. £100 doe not even covers the opportunity costs of getting to the place and from the place. An Uber driver would not take it.
Fortunately, I have audio and some video evidence work and his excuses why he cannot pay, I am good at coving myself. At least it will be a little easier talking to him about declaring work done in my self-assessment. Most scanks to not usually pay tax.
Got ideas what to do in this situation, but a second opinion would be nice. One idea was to sell his details to a debt on to a debt collector. Whole, I do not need the money, I am not pleased about this predatory behavior.

You'd be better off posting in Employment or Consumer Rights or similar.
It's not really a credit card issue.0 -

This is a matter for another forum.

Did you get the networking opportunities that were your main reason for taking on the work? If you did then you've already said the money is a secondary issue.0

Letter before action, then Money Claim Online if he doesn't take it seriously
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Notwithstanding this is in the wrong forum, have you actually given him a bill with some terms and conditions about settlement amounts/times and what will happen if settlement is not made within the prescribed time limit?0
