Try one of the MVNOs, most of them will offer better deals, you can already ask EE for your PAC, that may prompt them to offer you a much better deal.

As above, my wife and I were both on EE. Their offers were terrible, moved to Virgin and get 1000 minutes, 5000 texts and 5 gig with rollover for £9 a month0

can you keep the same number when you move from EE to Virgin ?
I want to keep my number as it was my late husbands and I have had it for the past 15 years on various phones0 -
I went into the EE shop this morning and asked about any deals available and the best they offered in the shop was a pound a month less for very little more for SIM only .So I then went to the Virgin shop and was offered a really good deal, 1500m calls and unlimited texts and 3GB data for £9.00 per month .
Came home phoned EE to get my PAC code and was offered 6GB unlimited calls and texts for £10.00 per month so bit his hand offhappy days I was paying £18.00 plus for unlimited texts 300mb and 300 minutes per month so I am a very happy old woman this afternoon for the sake of one phone call
:):).
Weird how the threat of losing ones custom sudden starts a different offer
Thanks for your help and advice chums

To get the best deal from EE at the end of your contract's minimum term, first look at the best deals on offer from other networks to find the cheapest one for your usage requirements.
Then call EE, ask for your PAC, tell them what you've found when when they ask you. Then they will offer you an equivalent deal, discounted SIM-only plan. They can't do this without your naming the alternative that they know, or can check, exists.
EE plans are now all unlimited calls/texts, so pricing is for the data allowance. The only drawback is that their contract will probably be 12-month whereas the alternative might be monthly.Evolution, not revolution0 -
Exactly what I did and am very happy to be paying £10.00 for the next 12 months
