I have ironed all the washing I got dry in the week.
I have pegged out 3 loads (and it's beautifully sunny and breezy so drying well)
Cleaned out Benny Bunny's hutch and under storey, (don't know what else to call it).
Cleared uneaten food out of fridge.
Washed up, dried and put away.
    Washed up again.
Set up new-to-me printer and temporarily homed it in my bedroom pending DD moving out when her room will become my guest room/office. Apparently she's going to be the frequent guest.
Cleared smoothie maker out of cupboard into DD's kitchen boxes as she's taking it with her whether she wants to or not. This has enabled me to put coffee maker away but easily accessible.
Cleaned living room carpet with steam cleaner where ink from new printer got on it and where cat locked in living room overnight relieved herself.
    Stripped DS's bed.
Revving self up for kitchen clean.
Still not feeling as perky as I would like to feel.
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

  • All washing done. The basket is empty :j
    All wet washing hung up.
    Christmas cake in the oven
    Tea in the oven
House was tidy then hubby started packing for our holiday tomorrow.

Urgh, I've not stopped today and my achieved list looks pitiful.

  • Himself pushed the vacuum cleaner across the kitchen for roughly two minutes, so I asked him to bring it into the living room so I could find his chair underneath Mme Fluffyknickers' unwanted floof. That went well until the point at which I knocked a pot containing assorted jingly percussion instruments onto the floor.

I then had to pull the chair out completely,
    vacuum up the bits,
[strike]shove the unnecessary tut up in the Studio by dumping it on the bed as Himself was already faffing around with music again[/strike] relocate said jingly bits to a more appropriate location,
scrub the floor where it's clear Himself has never felt it necessary to vacuum underneath or behind his chair,
shove a pointless CD rack or two on top of the cupboard and various books on top of that,
    shove the sideboard along,
clean under that for similar reasons
put the chair between the units for a change
    turn the coffee table
vacuum my bass amp where felines use it as a staging/observation post
stick the fleecy throw that should be on his chair through the TD to get more floof off it

He's provided some microwave Macaroni Cheese as I was incredibly hungry, made a cup of tea and scuttled back off upstairs to allegedly rehearse on guitar for a couple of hours before we go out.

I will wipe over the windowsill in a bit as originally intended, but I think I'm probably finished with housework for the night.

Roundtuit I was going to post something supportive but jojo did it much better. I read recently that food allergies tend to have effect immediately but intolerance take a few days. That certainly backs up what I've experienced; I don't feel the effect of wheat for 2 or 3 days. I hope your weekend improves.
Ditto ionafan, glad things are picking up. Must be the week for AB, dentist gave me some on Thurs as it seems last week's pain was likely an abscess. Got root canal treatment booked in, deep joy.

Sorted out church flowers and vacuumed church.
Remembered to post a letter when I got a paper.
Read leccy and gas meters and put on web site.
    Pulled off more wallpaper.
Harvested more tomatoes and an aubergine, cleared old plants up.
Picked up a basket of apples before the slugs found them.
Spent ages looking at staircase/banister on various sites.
    Went to library.
Walked up with mil and Mr N to Mr T. No mention of "going home" today, plus she cooked herself an evening meal, albeit at 2pm.

Happy to report triumph on the uni car parking fiasco; my appeal against the fine has been accepted and it was agreed that I was overcharged for my permit so am due a refund.

  • Oh my goodness.

This bloke can play guitar reasonably, has a reasonable voice, but why on earth has he got an idiot mate doing the sound? It's painful to watch, never mind hear - buzzes, crackles, cutting out; it making my ears want to curl up and die.

And still his mate is faffing about with his ipad volume and reverb, rather than sorting out the fundamental screw ups caused by presumably not being able to hear the awfulness by having a pair of ear defenders on, rather than monitor headphones.

I'd have offered to help out of sympathy (and self defence for my eardrums, but I even with the highest attenuation filters firmly jammed in) were it not for the moron with the ipad.

    Morning all,

Still feeling positive, no letter yesterday but I'm adopting the que sera sera attitude, and focusing on what I can control, not what i can't. I will be taking the dog for a big walk shortly when it gets light, then we are visiting family for brunch. Only working three days this week the off for half term, hurrah!

DW unloaded, WM on with its first load, kiddies having brekkie, DH still snoring :rotfl:

    Have lovely days all xx

Ranting and crying is good for the soul.

I give Himself a hard time on here, but I'm not entirely bereft of understanding that he's found it emotionally draining and traumatic dealing with his father - I got in from Choir on Wednesday to find him on the point of being a complete wally and annoying me immensely, but rather than leaving him to it, I pestered at him until he finally broke down and cried for the first time since before his father's hospital admission. And admitted that he thinks both his parents are idiots.

If it's getting all too much for you Roundtuit, there is absolutely nothing wrong in saying you can't make it to the hospital, making it a short visit - 'We're just popping in today/tonight/can't stay for long' - or even leaving if she's snarling at you. If your house has got so bad, then that - and your time to rest - is more important than doing things that in all honesty can wait until tomorrow.

Thank you so much Jojo xx It was the first time I'd cried since Dad told me they'd asked him in A&E if he wanted to let Mum 'slip away' on Monday as they were losing her. He said 'No, do whatever you can'.... and they brought her back. Which she is not happy about - and breathe :o

It will be easier this week as I am at home on Annual Leave from work - a pre-booked sanity-saver! …. and my brother is available to take a turn visiting. I've been visiting Dad at home as well as Mum in hospital - today Dad has gone off karting with DS for the day, my brother is hospital visiting this afternoon and I'm going for an hour tonight. So I can have a day without 'peopling' and charge my ultra-introverted battery somewhat!

Narc0lepsy - thank you too, No ill effects from sandwich … yet ;) and I ate sticky toffee sponge with custard at the pub last night - boy was it good :D At least if there are any ill effects I won't be at work ;) I'm still traumatised  enough said :o

Flying: I've made my bed; put fresh towels in the bathroom, and used towels + tea towels are happily swishing in WM.

Love and best wishes to all flyladies
