Why are you still writing your Defence?

It is already two days overdue.

This was clearly spelt out to you over three weeks ago in post #5:

With a Claim Issue Date of 1st October, and having done the AoS in a timely manner, you have until until 4pm on Monday 5th November 2018 to file your Defence.

Get you Defence filed before 4pm today using the guidance in post #5.

If CEL are on the ball you will already have a default CCJ registered against you!!


Send it now in the hope you get it in before they request judgement

Don't panic I did send it off on Monday. Thanks all - I will await the next step.

Did you check MCOL, or phone the CCBC to make sure the defence is lodged before any default CCJ?

I have had a letter to say they have received my defence. Should I be doing anything now to prepare for the next step. Many thanks

Just a quick update folks. After receiving a Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing) for 1/4/19, I have today received a letter of confirmation of cancellation of the proceedings for the claim from Civil Enforcement Ltd.


Many thanks for all of your help over this matter.

You would be wise to check that with the court on Monday.
