Yes, they do seem to get forgetfull about their kids. You see it all the time, not paying but off on a holiday! Because they need a holiday more than the kids need new school uniform.
Mine seems to be an exception as he does pay and he does have him on alternative weekends.

3 kids you definately will have your hands full!

But he has quit his job and says he has nothing lined up but he's dropping the payments to £280 from January... so he must have something lined up!

Not much of interest on the OP front... will make next payment in january when i get paid.

I've read a few diaries and decided I really need a side account for those big bills such as insurance or nice stuff like a weekend in the caravan! So I'm leaving the maintenance payments alone and will use them. So far got £500 in that account!

Got my statement from mortgage company.... i can see the term of the mortgage shortening!

Well done for making it to the end of this post:j

Must do better next week. I have a £8 off a £40 spend for Mr S so will stock up on rice and oat milk.

Had a good night out, saved on taxi's! Got a lift to town and walked home.

  • Not much to report on the financial front.

Went to see Mary Poppins returns... £4.99 for 2 tickets courtesy of thoose meerkats.

Packed up the christmas decorations... Time to declutter and tidy..

Should be time to sleep but woke up stressed after strange dream about teenagers swarming our street and trying to break in and my phone not working properly to ring the police..

    Also adding to my resolutions..
10 books which have been bought but not read!

Crocheting baby blanket going well... onto last ball of wool for that. Fingers crossed it will be done by the end of the week!

  • Financial wise... a deeply boring week. Just busy being mindful not to spend any money. I think I'm hitting that boring part of over payments.. as I can't think of any exciting ways or fun ways to save money or generate money!

I work out changing how and where I buy my cat food I can save about £100. So now making a trip to a certain discount shop to buy a months supply of the same brand cat food and biscuit. Also noticed I can make a saving on the cat litter as well.

Yes this is about as exciting as it gets!!

Busy counting the weeks to half term!

Also hoing to hit 48000's next month..

Fingers crossed for another low spend month

  • Took a financial risk this week.
Small person wanted to use his christmas money to buy skylanders imaginators... but the english version, when i could find one, was over 90 quid.
So I've ordered the american version including postage... less than 40 quid!
I've read up on line that the switch is region free so fingers crossed.

Went swimming this week... pool swimming is like running on a tread mill but managed a mile. Am looking forward to swimming outdoors again but i think i need the temperature to be a smidge or 2 higher.

Food shopping wise have stuck to the budget. Finding it much easier, i think its helped to buy a month worth of moggy food from B M, and buy a month worth of rice milk and oat milk etc from Mr S then just stick to Mr A.
Have found a few more vegan products at Mr A's but i have no idea why they hide them in amongst the meat and dairy... perhaps its a conspiracy to get meat eater eating vegan food... or perhaps they missed the point that i don't shop in the meat / dairy.

My decluttering isn't going to well but small person is away this weekend so I'll try to declutter his room a bit. I'll sort it between e bay / car boot / charity... hooefully very little for the bin.
