Wifi speaker for novice.

I've now got the free version of Spotify on my samsung a5 phone and laptop. In a short time, hopefully I will have joined my daughters premium version. She is on android like me.

I know she bought a wifi speaker that worked without connecting cables, then because the sound wasn't brilliant, bought a more expensive one.


I think I'd like to buy a wifi speaker that worked without cables and gave good sound quality, but don't know where to start.

We have Sonos speakers. There are a few different versions depending on size of room or budget or sound quality required.

Good point. Islandman are you sure you need a wifi speaker or bluetooth? The cheaper speakers above that you showed interest in are bluetooth only.

Try a Google Home speaker and use your Spotify account with that.
This would also give you access to other sources you may find useful, including radio stations.
