A friend of mine has had a parking ticket which she ignored for a while presuming because it was private land it was simply an invoice. She has had the fine increased and solicitors are writing to her. I want to help her in the same way you all helped me not so long ago .
Here is a picture of the parking notice. Can she defend herself?

As above, read the NEWBIES and send the appeal template from the keeper to the PPC (even if it's out of time).
It is not a fine.
The advice to ignore has not been given since the law changed in 2012.
Are you sure it is solicitors not debt collectors who have subsequently contacted your friend?
The signage is inadequate and a PoPLA appeal would have killed this, but it may be too late for that now.
Your friend should also complain to their MP about this unregulated scam using the information from the NEWBIES.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
The sum of £100 is buried in the small print contrary to the BPA's code of practice.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.
for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the House of Commons recently

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Follow the path for BPA companies as per the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 via initial appeal, then on to POPLA to get it killed off. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you for all your input. I have asked my friend for all the details. I have uploaded the letters from QDR and ZZPS here.
