Hi I need some advice.
Years agao I had a debt with Grattan that defaulted and went to moorcroft debt recovery.
In July 2015 I settle that debt in full with moorcroft. In 2016 I noticed I was still defaulting every single month and when I asked they had not paid the money into the account even though I had an email stating they had received my funds.
I argued with them and they agreed to put it right with the appropriate credit reference agencies.
I checked last week to find his still hadn’t been done some 4 years after laying the debt.
I argued again and they have now done it and my file has gone up over 300 points taking me from poor to excellent overnight.
My question is this. I have spent four years with very poor credit as this is the only thing I have ever defaulted on and because of them it has shown me in poor light for years after I paid the debt.
Should I be entitled to compensation?
