    No, it doesnt work.
    You owe nothing
    They want the full amount
    There is no common ground.

Out of curiosity, does mediation ever work? Or re the parking companies always insistent that the full amount must be paid and therefore it is not worthwhile?

Why would you want to pay anything to them?

Go for mediation and they "mediator"will just ask how much are you going to offer!

… I am going to sue bargepoles post linked in the newbies thread.

I look forward to receiving your Claim Form then, and will apply for an eye-watering sum in costs when I win the case!

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

Whoops very unfortunate typo! That was definitely meant to say USE! Sorry Bargepole!
  • Just checking as I've made mistakes already with questions like this...

For part B on the directors questionnaire where it says 'Your full name' do I put the company name as that is the defendant or my husbands name as he is the contact within the business for this claim?

for D1, as it is a limited company should I leave this blank? Or should I write the local court on anyway - our local ones re Derby or Nottingham. I notice that on some posts people say some courts are better than others for parking claim, does anyone know which are better out of these two? They are the same distance for us.

It says you have to send a copy to the other side as well as the court. Do you just photocopy it and send it to the address for the claimant on the claim form?

    Company name.

Re the local court, you won't get the choice as the D is not an individual, but you can try putting what you prefer.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Great thanks Coupon-Mad.

I am going to scan and email to form to the court as well as posting the hard copy.

Do I post a copy of it to the address for the claimant on the court form?

Send the completed DQ to the CCBC using the same method and the same email address that you sent your Defence - see post #4.

Yes, send a copy to the Claimant - address on the Claim Form.
  • Directors questionnaire emailed to the court and I am going to post the hard copy back and post a copy to VCS tomorrow.

We received the copy that VCS have completed in the post over the weekend.

I presume we will receive a court date in the post shortly, and I will be back to prep the witness statement then.
  • We have received a letter to say that our case has been transferred to the Sheffield court. This was the court VCS requested in their directors questionnaire.

I was surprised as I thought that it would have to be Northampton because the claim is against a limited company and I was sure I read in the documentation somewhere that it had to be held there ifit was a limited company.
