Anyone purchased furniture from Wayfair?

I've seen exactly the item I want on Wayfair website - haven't seen a similar one anywhere else. Rather expensive, but just the right thing.
However, after reading most of the reviews here, it sounds like more trouble than it's worth.
Can't register with them in any case. The website keeps saying that both my UK landline and my mobile number are invalid and won't let me progress with registration.
I don't think I'll bother contacting them! One customer lost.0 -
I bought a shower screen from them. It arrived when it was supposed to, and was in good condition.0

Well I must say I’ve had a happy ending!
I decided to take a risk and ordered some furniture from them last week. (A sideboard, console table, coffee table, kitchen table and mirror, all part of the same range just over 2Ks worth).
We had a slight issue ordering as my partner used his credit card and because we’ve just moved, we realised the billing address hadn’t been updated, so he had to get an auth code from the bank because the order bounced. The customer service dept were really helpful and friendly though!
So then onto delivery, which was arranged through Panther. I must say I was reading absolutely terrible reviews on them last night and my nerves were shot all last night and today before it arrived! We had regular texts and updates from them but a lot of reviews said they also had this but then the delivery wouldn’t show or be cancelled at the last minute.
So I was half relieved when the doorbell rang when it was supposed to! The delivery men were a bit so so but they brought five packages in! So far so good. We opened them all immediately to check for any breakages and to our delight everything was fine!
All we had to do was screw a few legs on and job done, it’s all in place and looks great!
Not sure I’d order again just cause it was a bit stressful overthinking the what ifs, but that might be just me!0 -
I've used Wayfair quite a lot over the years. Long term conclusion is, don't buy anything where a heavy part of the furniture has thin packaging. I'm not sure that Wayfair learn from experience on what does and what doesn't survive the journey. Some of their range is undisputable value for money, I'll keep using them no doubt.0

I recently bought two items of nursery furniture from them. Sadly there was damage on several edges and as it was painted furniture a few scratches here and there. Customer services were brilliant and replaced but again one piece was still damaged. They sent me a replacement part for the damaged end part and a goodwill gesture of a 15 pound credit. I can't fault their customer services.
I've bought smaller items from them. One a spice rack, sadly several of the jars were crushed and the metal rack itself was twisted out of shape. It was well packed too.
Another time an old style standing towel rail that was so scratched I completely repainted before use. Couldn't be bothered to repack and send back.
Other smaller items have generally been ok but they are a bit of a risk.
I think if it's an item you feel you just have to have then go for it and risk the bother. Otherwise spend your money elsewhere.0
