Portable carpet shampooer for small flat . Suggestions please

I think you're better off hiring a professional carpet cleaner as the machines you can buy tend not to be very good. My mum bought a Vax carpet washer a few months back and It took me all day to do her bungalow and hours to dry. It was back breaking work and I felt the machines just wasn't powerful enough to do any serious cleaning. When I did my house , we rented a professional carpet washer locally which did a really good job. We got ours from bestathire who have a local branch and it was approx £22 for the weekend. It was much more powerful than my mums vax and they are so cheap to hire these days , it's no point ever buying one.1
