Issue date is 01/04/2019.
Yes, from the CCBC in Northampton.
I am going to assume that you did do the Acknowledgement of Service within that timescale. Please confirm.
Having done the AoS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 7th May 2019 to file your Defence.
That's just a week away. Loads of time to produce a Defence, and it is good to see that you are not quite leaving it to the very last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:-
Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
- Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
- Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
- Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

Add a point about the sparse signage used by this Claimant, from your research, is incapable forming a contract that can bind a motorist and thus the Defendant avers there was a failure of the POFA pre-requisite for 'adequate notice' of the parking charge. Further, it is denied there was a breach of a 'relevant obligation' or 'relevant contract' by the unknown driver and the Claimant is put to strict proof.
And this should come ABOVE the part you have as #3:The Claimant is put to strict proof that it has sufficient proprietary interest in the land, or that it has the necessary authorisation from the landowner to issue pieces of paper that are not 'charge notices', and to pursue payment by means of litigation.
And if your defence doc has numbers, don't have sub-paras also numbered '1, 2, 3, 4'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi KeithP, I can confirm AOS was sent two weeks back.
Will do some further reading to see if there is anything else I can add to stregnthen the defence.
I feel I should add - my partner really isn’t happy that this has gone so far and has basically refused to attend court, causing some issues between us on the matter. I agree with you guys, that we should fight against these companies. He doesn’t agree. I feel awful about it all. Just out of curiosity - has anyone had experience on "settling" or admitting who the driver was and transferring the original fine? Long shot - I guess it’s already too late to go down those routes now but may as well ask the question.
Thank you.0 -
Thank you CouponMad. I will amend as you have suggested.0

Hi All,
This really is dragging on. I got up to witness statement stage but due to the issues it is causing between my partner and I and his refusal to have anything to do with court I decided not to send the WS in and was hoping for a judgement by now in which I can pay within 30 days and avoid a CCJ being on my partners file.
Today he recieved a "notice of trial date" letter for December, unless claimaint doesnt pay £25 by end of October. Does anyone has any idea how long it will take for a judgement to be entered after the trial date?0
