TUI steals baggage from babies

TUI sold me a flight for family and my infant son with a free 10kg checked baggage allowance on the way out, but REMOVED IT on the way back?????
They have a new policy which REMOVES the FREE INFANT BAGGAGE allowance which came in WHILST we are on holiday. So if youve gone out with the free allowance you dont get it on the way back!
What exactly do they expect me to do with my sons belongings? SELL THEM ON EBAY? THROW THEM IN THE SEA? SEND THEM BY SEA MAIL TO ARRIVE 3 MONTHS LATER?
I called them to sort out what seemed to be a simple clerical error, and the guy on phone agreed it was nuts and was about to write me a letter clarifying the mistake, when the long arm of the law, THE SENIOR SUPERVISOR, literally cut him off and said that I had agreed to this in my terms and conditions. I asked for a manager for what Id hoped would be the voice of reason, but apparently MANAGERS DONT SPREAK TO THE PUBLIC...presumably theyre too scared that their anti-infant policies wont stand the test of public reasonableness, so leave it to the minions to deal with the smart idea that probably got one snazzy exec in Luton his bonus Vaxhaul Corsa for the year...well done TUI, another nail in the coffin of your business.
Does anyone know if this is allowed?

This seems like a material change to your holiday package, does your travel insurance cover this?

What do the t&c's say about your luggage allowance?
Was it made clear it would be changing whilst you were away, which it may do and you didn't spot it, or it might be completely silent on the issue.
Edit to say was this a flight only booking? If it was I found this in the t&c'sFor flight only bookings up to and including October 31st 2018, there's a luggage allowance of 10kg for infants aged 0-2 years. For bookings from November 1st 2018, there's no luggage allowance for infants, regardless of seating type, and they can't be included in any pooling of luggage allowance.0 -
At least its not Ryanair. They steal babies and sell hem to childless rich Americans unless you pay for priority boarding. So I heard of someone.0

Oh yes. I read that as well. It was in the Daily Mail so it must be true.0 -
In my experience TUI (or rather Thomsons as was) have a track record of self inflicted complaints, and this appears to be another.
It would have been simple enough to include a caveat to Ts&Cs to the effect that infants who commence a flight on or before the 31st October will have the luggage allowance for both the outward and inward journeys - thereafter the new rules apply.
I would have though it reasonable to inform customers travelling with infants that they would not enjoy the 0-2 years luggage allowance on their homeward flight if on or after 1st November.
If they did, then there is no case (groan) to answer - however it appears the mother was not so advised.0
