Still, a bit worrying as between other banks I get pretty much instant transfers on any day of the week.
Check your NatWest records for any historical transactions made at the weekend. They will be none as the date is always changed to Monday's date when you look at it on Tuesday or after.

To be fair, Marcus, like many savings account providers, do warn you about weekend transfers in their FAQ...
I transferred money to my Marcus account, but it doesn't seem to be there.

There are a few reasons why this might happen.

If you’ve transferred money over the weekend, it can take until the end of Monday to show in your account depending on when we receive it. Similarly, if you send the money outside of your linked account provider’s business hours, the transaction can take a little longer to show in your Marcus account.

It turned out I can only make payment from my one bank I gave the details upon signing up which was Santander 123. So I tried twice to make a transfer from this account and twice it failed due to me not receiving any OTP codes to my phone which is registered with them. Perhaps it isn't meant to be that I transfer money into this account.

    Frustrating!!!

To be fair, I’m sure that was made quite clear on sign-up.

Should be quite easy to transfer your cash into S123 then onto Marcus.

No because they fail to send me the opt code which means I can't make the transfer.

Have you contacted Santander to find out why? They are open 7 days per week (Freefone number) including today up to 9pm.

    In 2018 ?
  • I've stayed with the 123 paying the £5 a month.
Tempted by the lite version my worry is I have numerous regular savers and only need to muck one up to go overdrawn. Otherwise I need to keep a balance not earning interest to guard against that.

My solution possibly, is when my monthly saver matures. Will switch the 123 account to Lloyds Club or BOS Vantage which both pay 1.5% on a balance of up tom£5000. Then I will always have enough in the account for standing orders, credit card payments etc.
