POPLA appeal rejected for Parking Eye ticket. What next?

Hi,

I’ve just had a POPLA appeal rejected after receiving a PCN from Parking Eye. Appealed to Morrison’s head office directly. They’re not interested. On principle I don’t want to pay the fine as it’s totally disproportionate and not commercially justifiable. POPLA made decision on appeal using incorrect info but there’s no further redress there as they conveniently don’t allow you to contact them once they have made their appeal decision!

What would happen if I didn’t pay?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me

Does htis relate to an existing thread? If so then LET THIS ONE DIE - post on that other thread. Easy to find it, click on your username!

We cant give you any meaningful advice as youve given us absolutely no information of any use as to WHY your appeal was rejected.

Of course you can contact them. Whether they respond or not is another matter.

However, if their decision was flawed/ill considered,, and it went to court, you could use it to your advantage. It is probably a scam anyway, the signs are dreadful
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • This is a new thread with a generic request for advice.

If you could send me the details of a current thread where I may get some advice to my question, that would be useful.

This thread would be a good starting point:

**NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!

PE will chase for payment and eventually send an LBC and then send an MCOL via Northampton ccbc

    ITS THAT SIMPLE

and your best option is a cancellation by Morrisons, which it always was

    as for this statement
it’s totally disproportionate and not commercially justifiable
how do you legally argue that in court ?

before you answer, google BARRY BEAVIS (who lost in 3 courts to about 11 judges using the same arguments)

I guess you missed this from that thread:
What will happen if I lose at POPLA or IAS?

It changes nothing, just takes you back to square one. It is not a reason to pay, even though the decision will tell you to! Discussed here and in other threads you can find by searching this forum for 'lost IAS' or 'lost POPLA':

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5334100

    What happens would be:

    - you will most likely (unless it's a very litigious PPC) just get a series of hysterical 'pay up or else' debt collector letters, or maybe letters from the PPC themselves - see separate post about ignoring them, below. No need to panic.

    or

    - you might have to defend this if the PPC tries a small claim, and they might be buoyed by an IAS 'win' under their belt to brandish. If that happens, see post #2 above about beating a claim!
