Scan credit card on mobile?
Not sure whether this should be on Credit Card board or this one, but here goes.
Eating in Wetherspoon with a child will be easier if I can use their APP to allow ordering from table.
Payment can be made by various methods, but although I do all my banking on line, I use my desktop PC never my mobile. I don't use Paypal or Google Pay so the only alternative is to scan my credit card on mobile. How do you do this?

Perhaps I don't understand the question or you have stated your problem badly. You scan your card using the Wetherspoon app itself: Order, basket, "Pay with debit or credit card". The app is available on iOS and Android.0 -
In theory, you use your device's camera to take an image of your card. IME, this never works, so I resort to entering the details the traditional way by keyboard.
The app doesn't remember your card details so you need to re-enter them for each order,0 -
Thanks I haven't seen the Wetherspoon App or done any scanning on my phone. I did read something about having to download a special app to enable scanning. However, if it is explained when I come to use the app and simply uses the mobile camera it should be straightforward.0
