Finally, the first significant communication in months (General Form of Judgment or Order). I am unfamiliar with the language, but from what I can tell, it is saying:

    - We haven't got a date yet, but will send you one in due course

    - Please compile a witness statement with the advice on MSE forums

    - Send a copy of your defence and witness statement with any photographic evidence etc, you will use to the new court address in London and the same for PE.

Jpgs of letter: Fill the following x with p -

Or just change http to hxxp, and make it easier for everyone else ;)
  • ......Done
  • Ta... would my interpretation of the letter be correct in the judgment of readers here?
  • Yep. Do as it says.

Keep an eye out for the date of trial, which it appears will be sent separately. If you don't get a date within the next week or so, phone up and ask.

Note the dates for filing at court - 14 days before the trial date, TBC. Send it in good time.

Do make sure you try and exchange statements as near as dammit simultaneously. Don't send your statement now and give them time to dissect it - but don't miss your deadlines either!
  • The call center say they are drawing up an order and will be issuing a hearing date very soon.

What are reasonable expenses to claim - for example - 4 hours research at £50/hour and the day off at court plus transportation and correspondence costs? Does briefing the claimant about these before the hearing help my cause?

The NEWBIES thread shows you a costs schedule or two, which you must send to the court & claimant shortly before the hearing.

You don't submit a defence again, and not by recorded delivery, ever, to P/Eye!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
