The last two JDW pubs I’ve tried did not accept orders by app — a bit of friction with the staff perhaps?
  • Had this same convo with my OH last night. We both decided the app was much quicker. I think at present, people using it are of a minority and there seems to be a minimum of 1 staff member allocated to doing it. Can imagine in a few years time, more people would have found this out and service times will become more equal but for now it is sooooooo much quicker.

Couldn't be a minimum of less than 1 could it?

My local has times when the total bar staff is less than one.
  • How dumb are we becoming?

If the bar looks busy then use the app, if it looks quiet then use the bar. Is it that difficult?

No good in our spoonies. They’re out of session beer most Friday nights!

  • Its no good if you want any of the guest beers because they are not on the App.

But you'd probably want to go to the bar as you can have a free taste.

And you wouldn't be able to use CAMRA vouchers with the App.

So...going to the bars wins for beer drinkers.

Unfortunately service is slow because most of the staff are the wrong side of the bar serving the lard arses using the App.

I love the app - just annoying you can't edit it or swap things. Tick boxes would be good! :)

    E.g no ice in drink!

I am boycotting "SPOONS" as the owner is too outspoken about our country leaving the European Union. He won't stock anything from Europe but will stock things from USA and Australia? Boycot this dump.
