Landlord replaced my washer-dryer with just a washing machine

Well that was a bit of an exaggeration, but since I no longer have a dryer I can only wash as many clothes as I can fit on the airer I have and I can't wash another load until everything on the airer is dry. In this time I have worn more clothes so the laundry pile gets bigger.
I think you need a bigger (or second) airer or don't change your clothes so oftenIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Dehumidifiers - with radiators on as well - light stuff in a few hours and heavy stuff overnight.
If you got a small room - with a Radiator and the dehumidifier - keep the door shut and it will be even quicker0 -

I agree, maybe a second, bigger airer so I get get more done at once and a dehumidifier since this is the first winter in the flat without a dryer and I don't want the flat filling with damp.0 -
People with dehumidifiers - how much quicker do they help dry clothes as opposed to just hanging them on an airer?
It makes a pretty big difference. Towels would take over 2 days to dry naturally indoors, or a few hours with the dehumidifier.
The dehumidifier (obviously) reduces the humidity of the air, so even after you turn it off, the clothes will continue drying faster.
Also, your heating will be more efficient/cheaper without additional water in the air to heat. And dry air feels warmer too.
I got mine mostly because the house was damp. I ran it for about 3 days non-stop and it collected more than the rated "10 litres a day". After that, I only need it occasionally (or to dry washing).
I'm really pleased with my EcoAir DD322FW Simple. It has a simple analogue control panel (so not much can go wrong with it, and it'll be easy to repair), and works brilliantly.

It was £150 at the time, and I've had it 3 years now without any problems.0 -
If you dont have space for a seperate tumble drier. How do you have space to store the landlords replacement machine until you move out?0

I'm a big fan of Ebac products. Very well made compared to some of the tat the big chains sell. I've had one of their dehumidifiers for many years still doing good service. They make your house feel warmer in the winter too.Signature on holiday for two weeks0
