EE Misold me a product - Wanting advice
Hi, this is my first time posting here, so I apologise if I've posted in the wrong section.
My brother was on the phone with EE and ordered himself a new tablet on contract. The lady he was speaking to said that it was a Galaxy Tab A 10.1 and she said that it came out in April this year, so it's a new model. It is a Galaxy Tab A with WiFi and LTE on a monthly contract with 2GB data for £18 a month. It arrived 2 days ago in the post and after I had a look at it, I went to the settings on the tablet and found out it was the 2016 model with a software update. The new model which came out this year in August is called the Galaxy Tab A 10.5.
I haven't had the time to call EE at the moment and will be doing so later on. Could anyone give me any advice or could tell me what to expect?
Thanks.

I would expect they will not discuss it with you as it's your brother's contract and not yours.0

Thank you for the reply. Sorry I was meant to say that I was going to get my brother to call them back.
Also I've heard that my brother can request the chat logs from EE to confirm whether or not the lady on the phone said it was the 2018 model she was going to send him. Does anyone know if that's possible?
Thanks.0 -
Sounds straightforward. 1) He has 14 days to cancel anyway. 2) He purchased relying on what they specifically told him about the phone and that proved to be untrue (though that would need proof it shouldn't be an issue under the 14 day cancellation period, provided this wasn't a so-called "upgrade" to an existing contract).0
