Multicar policies

Are there any others than Aviva, Admiral and LV=?

We are currently with Admiral and it is easier to just deal with one renewal - maybe that comes at a cost though?

I have just done 3 renewal quotes for exactly the same 2 cars and drivers:

Admiral - £1,457.28
Aviva - £2,210.06
LV= - £1,081.92

Given the massive variation I feel I need to keep exploring.
Would a broker be a better bet?

    A broker might know of others.

    If it were me Id save money and get 2 individual policies.

    I suspect that might have to be the answer - figures don't seem to vary much for my car but DH's boy toy is the killer

    LV= still coming in cheapest but for 2 individual policies rather than the multicar policy.
    Rats - I am actually going to have to call them :(

    For us a multicar policy costs a LOT more. At least an extra £800.

    Downside of a multi car is that they all end up renewing together, so you have to pay out for all the car's insurance in one go. It also means that when you come to renewal you have to hawk the details of 2/3/4 cars round all the websites. brokers insurers and that takes nearly 2/3/4 times as long.

  • The bigger downside of multicar policies is you are unlikely to get the best price on either car compared to a single car quote. So although you might get some discount for 2 or more cars, if the price is much higher in the first place, the multicar quote can still be still poor value compared to individual policies on each car.

    Hi,
    for us we find that Admiral Multi-car IS cheaper than individual policies.  Having seen the recent LV ad, i tried to get a quote from them but all cars need to be registered at the same address ( Not a restriction with Admiral) , Is anyone aware of other multi-car policies where the cars can be registered at differing addresses?
