!!! well that was a constructive post wasn't it.... wasn't really worth posting something so unhelpful mate, I'm aware its what happened but we all make mistakes, unless you are perfect?

More constructive than pumping your chest out and threatening all nature of retribution against the card company. Sometimes a little humality is a more reasoned response. Yeah we all make mistakes. Whether we actually learn from them only time will tell.

Not more constructive at all, I am simply just asking if there is any chance it can be removed. No humility about being unhelpful, I am not being threatening at all, just wondered if there was a solution. Believe me I have learnt from it.
  • You can ask. But don’t expect them to.
Court action is just plain silly.

The solution is to pay on time

Hence why I said besides court action...

In future I will do, it's the first payment I've ever missed and should be the last.

Setup a direct debit in the future so you don't have to worry about missing a payment?

Unfortunately the missed payment marker is an accurate description of what has happened, and as such Very are under no obligation to remove it. You could try your luck getting it removed by asking them nicely, they might be willing to do so if it is a first offence, but keep in mind that they are under no obligation to do so. I don't think there are any other options, other than to use this as a learning experience to make sure it doesn't happen again - you could try setting up a direct debit to pay off any statement balances in full, which could help reduce the instances of missed payments.

Court action as has been suggested is not a recommended route - you would almost definitely lose as Very has done nothing wrong.
