All these people sending empty packs to FREEPOST WAKERS CRISPS ASHBY DE LA ZOUCH to force them to set up recycling points for used crisp packets across the whole country "may" be the reason for it. Pepsico shareholders won't be paying for this, so someone has to. Agreed though, Salt 'n' Vinegar should be in a blue bag.

I wish shops would sell KP Mini chips again. I would happily pay £1 for 5 packs of these. Especially the Salt 'n' Vinegar ones!!!!

No-ones blamed Brexit yet or the cost of spuds due to the red hot summer.
of course not, they are BRITISH spuds picked by Continentals who will soon be replaced by do good nothings from the UK reduced to "working" on minimum wage at a day's toil for a fair day's pay
    I predict mayhem:
    - Children will be crying in the school lunch queue when they cannot get Gary's finest.
    - Footballers will be wondering where the punditry has gone when good 'ole Gary has to go out and earn an honest crust
    - Corbyn will be proclaiming it is all the fault of the Tories
    - The rich will be buying Tyrrells finest crisps, just as they have always done
    - The poor will be wondering !!!!!! is going on and can we blame Maggie?
    - The French will be blockading the Channel ports because that is what they do
    - The Germans will be making cars and wondering what all the fuss is about
    - The sun will carry on shining
    - The Sun will be headlining it is all down to BREXIT (without explaining what that means)
    - The Trump will make a noise, but no one will be able to translate it into meaningful language

@Missmarie - The beefy chipsticks from Morrisons were okay, but not on par with the original KP ones. :)

Crisps - I only ever buy them when they are £1 for a 6 pack. I didn't realise Walkers were making multipacks containing 5 bags, I'll have to watch out for that.

I guess there are loads of companies doing things like this...

Ainsley Harriot cup soups dropped one of their sachets making the normal 4 pack a 3 - "New & improved!"

Sainsburys were selling tubes of Pringles the other week for a £1, but I noticed they were a bit smaller than the normal sized 200g tubes.

Galaxy chocolate small bars weight dropped from 50g to 42g thanks to the new rounded chunks (easier to cram in your mouth?).

And we've all noticed how Cabury's Creme Eggs seem to get smaller every year :)

And the muffin on a McDonalds sausage and egg muffin. I dont have them very often as the price has gone up loads over the years, but I had one the other week and I though the muffin was from a childs meal, it was tiny, and it wasnt a one off as my mates was also the same. Overall it wasnt great and reminded me why I shouldnt/dont go to McDonlads anymore

You can get Golden Wonder at Home Bargains. 22p per bag 35g and they sell 6 pack for under £1. They are best cheese and onion far better than Walkers. Made by Taito they also do there own and its wicked

Poundland as said you have to watch out I have seen 5 packets in a bag before now too

I yearn for a "Canny bag of Tudor". :)
  • Walkers pioneered the consumer con when they started under filling multi packs of crisps and was careful to label them "not to be sold separately" specifically so that Joe Public remained deluded about the size of "a bag" of Walkers crisps. All reported by me here ages ago.

Maybe I missed it before but in the last week at two supermarkets (Tesco and Morrisons) I have spotted that Walkers crisps multipacks now contain 5 packets rather than 6. Seems like a rather underhand way of increasing the price by 16.66666666...%, but I suppose they have to pay Gary Lineker's advertising fees somehow.
