Received NIP 52 days after offence
Hi there, I yesterday received an NIP for an offence committed on the 11th of August - which is a full 52 days after the offence.
Now I did recently change my home address through the DVLA website, this change was made on the 14th of September. That still leaves 18 days between the date I changed my address and the date I received the NIP.
Is this worth querying with them at all?
Thanks in advance

The first NIP would have been sent (and therefore presumed correctly served within the required 14 days) to the registered keeper as shown on the date of the offence, or within a day or two after it.0

What date did you move?0 -
It has to be issued within 14 days of the offence to the address of the registered keeper. So, assuming you were the registered keeper at the time and you didn't notify the change your address with the DVLA until 14 September then as long as it was sent to your old address within the required period then that satisfies their rules.
When did you actually leave your old address?0 -
Thanks for the replies guys, I left my old address in September 20170

Then, as long as you hadn't received the NIP at your old address before you moved then in theory it sounds like you may be able to fight it. Best to go over to the forums on http://forums.pepipoo.com/ to get advice on how to proceed.0
