Planning Permission (with apologies to thesaint)

I hope someone can help.
We found a lovely house that we want to buy so put our place on the market. We found what seemed like a nice couple to buy it from us.
They took their time getting their act together so we found someone else to buy the place from us.
The original buyers seemed to have a bee in their bonnet about retrospective planning permission, despite me being pretty sure we didn't need it.
Now the original buyers are threatening to have us put in gaol for fraud for not having something we didn't need in the first place!

Goodness, Generali, your new boss will not be pleased when he finds out that you are a criminal.
You'll lose your job. But you probably deserved it. Crime doesn't pay (well, probably not as much as small hedge fund will eventually)
EDIT: I am eating curry and chips. Am I a criminal?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Reading this board and others it seems a lot of lenders and solicitors get wound up over not having PP when there is nothing that can be done about it. I recall being asked if I had PP for my flat when I was selling it. Answer No, but then 1 - it's leasehold so it's the freeholder's problem and 2 it was built about 40 years ago by a HA. (That's a Housing Association, those organisations well known for sneakily demolishing large houses and building blocks of flats when no one is looking).
I think a lot has to do with asking standard questions and then questioning the reply when the standard answer isn't given.A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.
It's a recession when your neighbour loses his job; it's a depression when you lose yours.0 -
Why the apology? Me confused.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0

It doesn't matter "For what", although it would be interesting to know.
I am certain that they won't be sent to the 'Clink' for a complaint from someone who made no purchase.
Now, can you answer my question? Why the apology? Me confused.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

I doubt whether 'Logging off' would be my priority if I was being dragged off by the Rozza's.
Personally, I would grab a tub of Vaseline(Or any other good brand of petroleum jelly) to ease the friction of my first homosexual experience when I go the prison.
It is going to happen, might as well ease the discomfort. :AWell life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

Why? Are you taking Bruno with you? :eek:0 -
It was meant to be reminiscent of the post you(?) did in response to the person that was getting upset that someone had left some junk behind where you posted as if you were the other party.
Yes, 'twas me.
I only did that because it was getting ridiculous, the OP had a genuine problem, but seemed to lose the plot and deservred some gentle ribbing.
You know the other thread that may come in for the same treatment, but the OP seems to have a bit more sense, it's just one or two others that are getting worked up.
I shall watch this thread quietly in the background, when you cross the line...Kapow! :AWell life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0
