    We'll be doing this as soon as it becomes law. One point everyone who is saying marriage can be nontraditional and equal, you have to put your father's name and occupation on the marriage certificate, but not your mother's. Not very equal, is it?
    Equal doesn't mean the same....


    For example women get Parental responsibility automatically in this country, men don't.


    So will you not be registering the birth of any of your possible children?

    This is being remedied under the The Registration of Marriage Bill which was passed by the House of Lords in the summer, and is now before the House of Commons. The Bill has received wide-spread support from both sides of the House.
