I think thats a strange question.

you will most likely have to visit said dealer a few times during the lease of your car

I'm not certain of that. I may well choose to visit a dealer during the lease period but I'm not compelled to. The location of a dealer shouldn't have to affect which brand of car I choose just in case I may have to go to them.

Is your lease short enough that it won't need servicing?

A lot of dealers no longer do the PDI, this tends to be done centrally before the car is distributed, for example all BMWs are PDI'd as soon as they arrive of the ship in the UK. If this is indeed a lease car, did it come from a local dealer anyway.

    Thanks
Hmm. That's interesting to learn. I had just assumed that the supplying dealer undertook a PDI on each vehicle they supply. Unexpected.

No. The local (nearest) dealer(s) didn't have a suitable vehicle so it actually came from the Nth East eventually.

You have to allow the manufacturer to repair the vehicle, however, if you are within your 14 day cooling off period you can hand the car back.

Just one will be needed. I normally get it done whilst visiting one of the branch offices. For the sake of good order, I'll get it done at an approved dealership.

You mean "as required in the lease"?

Nope. The lease doesn't require that I have the car serviced at a manufacturer approved dealership. I double checked that when I had the draft contract sent through before confirming the agreement.
