Motorhome Hire - Hidden Charges

I recently took advantage of a really cheap off season deal through Motorhome Express or Motorhomehire (they seem interchangeable and correspondence seems to come from both). £99 for three days and other charges "MAY" apply.

Then it comes to the included insurance. The excess is £1250, and I can either pay for their waiver at £24 a day (so £96 and therefore doubling the initial £99 offer, or decline, allow them to secure £1250 on my credit card - so far so good. But they will charge me £15 for administering this.

So pay £96 or £15 - no choice and so this is other charges "WILL" apply. Is this fair / legal?

If it isn't in their T&C, then you should be able to cancel without penalty.
Either way, make sure that you have a standalone motorhome rental excess policy in place. Expect to pay around 10 pounds per day for it. This of course in addition to the 1250 authorisation and the possible 15 pounds charge.
