Ending an O2 contract early....

....I'm about 6 months into a 12 month deal but I'm not using the free minutes any more and now using loads of expensive ones. My bill is coming out at about £45 a month which is ridiculous considering how few calls I make. I've called them up to change my contract but they offered me a terrible deal. Is there any way of getting out of it early? Thanks

Usually they charge the value of the rentals due for the remaining minimum period.0

Stop phoning people then! Only phone people who fall within your free minutes or who are on the same networks etc...
If you want to call someone, prank them so they phone you back.
Much cheaper than paying the remaining 6 months off...
Then when it comes to renewal, tell them you're not happy and want more minutes. Then go thru to cancelation dept then ext day and get a better deal.0
