I am at work waiting for the 'phone call to say contracts have been exchanged. I can't work, I can't concentrate, all I can do is wait for the 'phone call.

And breathe.

You're nearly there! There's almost nothing to worry about now. Did it not happen on Friday then or was today the planned day?
If you are sure everyone is commited then don't worry too much - it would be very unusual for things to fall apart at this stage as it does sound like everyone has agreed but the solicitors just need to catch each other free.

Thanks for that. The last people to sign did so on Friday (they had been delaying things a bit for reasons of their own). The plan is for everyong to exchange today (5 in the chain) and complete on Thursday. lol, good luck! I was in the same position last August. Its horrible. I wasted so much time worrying about it. I worried about speaking to the broker, I worried about my perfect credit history, then worried till the AIP and full offers came through, I worried about the survey, I worried that the solicitors hadnt done anything as they were very quiet, I worried in the middle that our sellers might pull out, I worried that we might be gazumped as I knew we found a real bargain, I worried on the expected exchange dates as it got pushed back a couple of time......
You get where I'm coming from ?!?! It all seems silly now and I was worrying about nothing. Moved in and it all went to clockwork albeit we had a few problems with the extension.

What a stressful situation to be in. You must feel like throwing yourself under a bus, I'm sure I would.
Lot's of us here will have our fingers crossed that it finally happens tomorrow if it never actually did happen today. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
So.... did it happen or not????
I had my fingers crossed for you yesterday afternoon.
Horrible time I know - but I hope the end of the day included a celebration!

Every finger crossed for you, and I do recommend eating some chocolate - to at least make you feel a bit better. Well, that's my excuse anyway!
