Hi all!
Looking to have a wood burner installed...
We plan on building a small hut (if that’s the right word) to house the burner so it’s appears set into the wall from the living room.
We are going to need a lintel to achieve this...
My question is can my HETAS installer (who has many years experience) self certify this in line with building regs or do we need to apply a notice?
I’ve spoken to two different people in planning...one said a notice would be required....the other said the installer could self certify all work...
Installer has said he’s done these before and never needed building regs notice
Any advice please
