    Morning everyone,

Glad that you enjoyed your day Holly go out for that meal as well :D
    Happy Anniversary for yesterday MrsSD

Bright and chilly here today, WM is doing it’s thing and I will be doing a catch up after a day of doing nothing yesterday, my knee is still painful but not as bad so hopefully it’s on the mend.
We had a curry for tea last night and despite putting the extractor on, shutting the kitchen door etc it really smells down here this morning, really puts me off and I don’t fancy breakfast at all :( My DOH loves them but I’m not so keen and remember why now.

Thoughts are with the TA’s as always, also with all profiles and those who care for them.

Have a good day folks x

    Morning all.

Up and at them already...got a class first thing and then my less than happy group later on this afternoon.

The washing machine and dishwasher are both loaded ready to start, I'll do that just before leaving the house. My cleaner is coming this morning so I've tidied around.

Yesterday the only thing I achieved was staying awake all day! Did nothing much, and really enjoyed it. Now it's catch up day with lots of marking to do later on today. Procrastination never pays off.

Thoughts to the poorlies, we are all with you.

    Happy Monday folks.

Off for a blood test now and then I am going to see if I can buy a couple of warm jumpers locally as the weather is sunny but so cold! I am going to try not to have a sleep at lunchtime have to see how I go. I am feeling a lot better but still got a low grade temperature and the antibiotics have given me the trots! TMI

Happy anniversary for yesterday SD and the other person (apart from TA) whose name I'm afraid I can't remember with an anniversary yesterday.

Have a good day with your friend Jackie.

It's quiet here today after yesterday's full house. Steve has gone to get the new car key after I lost his the other week aargh! Ziggy is here for the week so I'll be walking her at some point.

The Indian meal I made turned out very well, thankfully, even the 5 year old enjoyed it although the 2 year old had a cheese wrap! It wasn't a very spicy meal but very flavoursome.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, as always for the TA's.

Bright but brrrr again this morning. I ordered the fire for the sitting room yesterday, looks like a woodburner, but its not. Have possibly a weeks coal let. I have put the heating on to warm the house up, will put the sitting room rad off when I light the fire.

Load of coloureds in the washer, should dry on the line. there is a breeze which is keeping the temperature down. OH says it was down to 1c last night.

He is up showered and dressed, has been out to check his weather station. We need to have half an hour in the garden to finish up the bits. There is a plant I need to cut back and pot up to take cuttings in the spring. All the geraniums are done now, will bring them in and put them on the window cill.

Egg, chips and beans tonight........not sure about a dessert as yet.

    Morning lovelies
The whirlwinds have arrived :D. They fell through the front door about 7.45 and I have already made cup cakes, a tiara, done some sticker work and lots of colouring...... it's not yet 10am. DGD however wasn't amused when I made her have breakfast first, DGS as always was starving .
The weather is better today so I might strip the bed and wash the bedding if my DGD says it's ok, my she's bossy :D

I rang DAD last night for a check in and he said he felt better, must have been my mash and gravy :rotfl:.
Lunch today will be hot dogs and cheese burgers, with cheesy biscuits and salad ( their choice ). We have DGD's cup cakes and unicorn slices ( Mr Kip*ing ) for afterwards. Think their Daddy is on pick up about 4 ish.
Uh oh I think I am being summoned to ice the cakes :rotfl:.
May pop back later if I have any strength left :rotfl::rotfl:.
    MrSD belated Happy Anniversary wishes
Camelot and NMLC glad you both had a good time
    Hugs to all

Again, I appear to have been run over by a bus that was handing out mouth sores and bad fingers - I'm going to spend all day on the sofa and I may get round to planting the alium and tulip bulbs.
    Happy Anniversary SD for yesterday.
    Camelot, sounds lovely.

Morning folks. Well here we are now day 13 at the hospice. When Bob came in we thought it was for end of life care but the next day he had rallied slightly. Still very poorly and extremely tired and doped up with pain relief but he has remained on an even keel since. It's so hard taking one day at a time and just waiting for the inevitable to happen. There is a poor chap I talk to regularly in the visitors kitchen and he was told his partner would not make it through the night four nights ago. Four days on she is still clinging to life and he is told the same every night. The poor man my heart goes out to him.

I am finding it hard running my life from the hospice room but it's thank goodness for laptops. I ordered my repeat medication on line last week and DD is collecting that from Sainsbobs on her way here this morning. I have been trying to do the end of month finances too but have been getting featherlegged so have abandoned that for now.

DD's employers gave her a weeks compassionate leave when her dad was admitted here but she saw a doctor Friday and he has given her a sick note for 2 weeks. She doesn't trust herself to do her job properly when her mind is on what's happening here. Once she has got the girls to school she is here with us every day. DS is looking worn down with spreading his time between here and work and I wish he could take some time off too.

HOLLY I can't get over the change in your mindset, agreeing with what everyone else thinks. Your positive attitude now is unbelievable and must help your convalescence after the op. My thoughts are with you. As they are with everyone else and it's ((HUGE HUGS)) for everyone else in need or want of them. Take care all xx

    Afternoon all,

I'm feeling a bit shattered after a hectic weekend. Our night out was lovely but our taxi was delayed so we got back later than we hoped.

DS2 had to go and pick DGS up early yesterday so his mummy could be at the hospice with her dad. DgD was here too and stayed over last night so another early start to get her back home & ready for school .Fortunately there were new things to play with after her birthday so they were kept amused. Sadly in the afternoon DS2s ex texted to say that her DDad had passed away :(, so he had to tell DGS the sad news.He stayed until after tea & then took him to his other Grandmas house where all the family had gathered after leaving the hospice. His Grandad was a lovely man.

Not sure what we'll eat tonight as I forgot to get something out ,sure I'll find something. It started off as a lovely cold autumn morning but is looking grey now.
DP1- congratulations on your expected granddaughter :j

As always thinking of TA and Bob, I remember when DDad was in the hospice normal life was suspended but things like medication still need to be obtained. At least having your laptop there makes things like that a bit easier, love & hugs xx
Feel better thoughts to all the others who are poorly (too many!) on here.

Just realised I am feeling peckish now, didnt have any breakfast so will go and look in the fridge xx

    Afternoon all,

Hugs to all in need of one, especially the TA family.

Cold here this morning, we have been to our fourth funeral in 4 weeks.

We are still using up apples, the harvest is so abundant this year that nobody seems to want any, DSs 1 and 3 are having a go at making cider..... not sure its going very well so far, may have to get involved myself.

My turn to cook tonight, have nice piece of roast beef which I will do with roast veg and steamed British Queen potatoes..... might even make a pudding, with apples of course.

Need to eat, have a good day everyone.
