An easy way to stretch shoes is to stuff them with socks then heat the leather with a hairdryer to help it stretch. Leave overnight or longer. Repeat the process until they fit comfortably.Best wins so far - :jMini Cooper D, ITV Cash Prize, Family Holiday to France, £2.5K Holiday Vouchers, £800 Dinner Set :j0

You have no legal right of return whether they fit or not.
You did have plenty of opportunity to try before you buy so I guess this is a lesson learned next time you buy stuffsinglemom7 wrote: »Hello
I bought some shoes from SportsDirect in store. As i needed these urgently for my daughter as the ones she was using had the bottom of the shoe ripped.
We tried it in the shop and got the right size. Paid on credit card and recycled the box in the recycling bin as we swapped it over there and then.
We spent the rest of the day walking through town (1hour) and every now and again, my daughter would cry and say its hurting, thinking its a new shoe and she will have to get used to it, told her to walk for a little more so she can get used to it.
Come home and see she has got skin burn things where the shoe has rubbed against the inner ankle area. She was wearing socks. Poor thing was in tears and I felt bad that I didn't notice in town.
So took it back with my receipt and photo evidence of what happened and they wouldn't hear my side of the story. They said she wasn't wearing socks that's why that happened. Then they said I don't have a box so no return.
So what are my rights. The shoes have injured my 3 year old daughter on both ankles. What can I do?
VVVV This still doesn't help you casesinglemom7 wrote: »No I didnt rush into buying anything, This was the 3rd shop we went too after trying on shoes. This one fitted perfectly, made her walk a few steps to make sure.
And I have personally bought shoes that looked good and fitted perfectly but ended up hurting my feet. So can understand how it feels. If I ruled the world.......0 -
Looks like Sportsdirect were extending you opportunity to return them to be re-sold 'as new' and without the box they cant even do that.singlemom7 wrote: »...Sports direct were asking for a box which I put in the recycling bin after seeing my photos. Which I could not provide. If I ruled the world.......0

Using ANY online store would have given her legal right of return under distance selling regulations. I do agree Amazon are brilliant for returnsPotbellypig wrote: »Use Amazon in future. They're great for returns. If I ruled the world.......0

Then and now there would be no chance of a full refund on shoes worn for an hour outdoors, there may now be the right to return but the retailer can also reduce the refund if the handling of them has devalued them.0 -

I bought what can only be described as plastic blocks from Amazon the other month. Wore them for the night on holiday and they blistered the hell out of me. Sent them back about 2 weeks later and the money was back in my account within hours.
Not the first time I've had to send something back to Amazon either. The process is as smooth as anything.0 -
Nobody takes any ownership of problems they've created themselves any more do they?
Soooo glad i dont work in retail.0 -
Some more reputable shoe shops will let you return shoes if they have only been worn inside, to test them out to see if they rub/fit etc0
