Hi, were you leaving a bay and she was reversing in to a bay and hit you? Which way was she reversing in? Which way were you leaving the bay?

Fortunately, fully recovered claims do not increase your premiums, sadly premiums may increase because of other factors including insurance tax.
  • She wasn't reversing into a bay and I was pulling out of the bay I was pulling out forwards (I always reverse park) she had gone past my bay so I pulled out as I normally would when the road is clear, after going past my bay and I was about a third of the way out she went in reverse directly into the side of me, there were no other bays I was in the last one on that section there was a car in the bay to the left of me the direection in which she came and the trolley station to the right of me road was clear other than her car which had driven passed my bay she reversed down the left hand side of the road and directly into my car

I'm sorry to hear that, but how do you know my name?

Had you come to a full stop? It would help, in more ways than one.

    Evan.
  • The best way to describe this imagine your in your car in a car park there's your set of bays a road then a set of bays the other side of the road it's a two way road, she came down the road from my right and passed the bay I was parked in she was stationary for a while after passing my bay and the one to my left (so she was also on my left, I have driver forwards to come out of the bay, as I drove forwards she must have decided she wanted to reverse back down the road to a bay she had seen previously down to my right somewhere, which would have been a fair way down as the trolley storage bay directly to my right and no other bays for a good 5 6 cars after the trolley bay she was stationary as I pulled forward but as I was pulling forward she then reversed directly into me she would easily have seen me through her rear veiw mirror or if she had turned round I can only presume she must have just looked through her drivers side wing mirror and though the road was clear as I wasn't all the way out the bay yet we were both moving but I was driving forwards out of a bay and she was reversing down the left hand side of road when she hit me, to me that's were its her fault she should have circled around not reversed down a road, if that was a pedestrian having come between cars or Evan if it was me walking out to go into the store as apposed to driving out she would have hit me

I've no idea mate. Why do you keep asking me?

I'll ask again. Did you come to a full stop? In the car, I mean.

    Evan.

If you were stationary and they were moving and hit you. They would be at fault. I know this from bitter experience.

So you admit you never looked left coming out of the bay? As said, 50/50 at best, time to suck it up.

    Evan.
  • I was stationary as she hit me, I had looked left she had driven past my bay how was I too know she'd suddenly reverse down the road that's an illogical move in a populated area like I said I looked left she was traveling past my bay I began to pull out slowly as her car was obscuring my view slightly so I edged out to see past her car while I was edging out she then stuck her car in reverse and hit me and I'm not asking you directly duck I'm posting in my thread
