I am trying to use the PPI reclaiming tool but can't even seem to get started as Countrywide Assured (who I have a home protection plan with) is not on the list of companies. Any suggestions of what to do would be welcome.
Thanks

They wouldnt be.
Also, are you sure it is PPI and not life assurance?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Home protection plan?
Life assurance? PHI? Critical illness? Home insurance?

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

@Nasqueron I wasn't complaining, just asking a simple question...
Thanks for the rant anyway..0 -

That doesnt make any sense.
You asked why you could not find Countrywide assured on Resolver. Resolver is a complaints tool for putting in complaints against firms.
So, what are you using Resolver for if you are not trying to raise a complaint?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Whilst using a complaints firm Resolver it is a PPI claiming tool. I'm not complaining about anything, just looking to make a claim using the procedure MSM has recommended.0 -

No, your are making a complaint that your PPI was miss-sold. What label Resolver sticks on itself is irrelevant. And in any case, you are better off making your complaint direct to Countrywide Assured.
But, to repeat the previous questions; are you sure that you have PPI? Countrywide Assured ppears to be a life assurance company.0 -

You are making a complaint using the FCA regulated complaints process. The complaints team at the firm handle your complaint. The response you are given follows the regulated complaints process. It will refer to your complaint and list the reasons you have given as a complaint. Just because some people refer to it as a claim, it is not. It is a complaint. You are alleging a wrongdoing. Claims is just used by marketing companies to make their service sound cosier.
Also, making a PPI complaint on a different type of insurance is destined to fail. It is a daft thing to do. It's like going to Tesco and complaining about an apple they sold and showing them a tin of beans. Looking at another side, the Countrywide assured home protection plan seems to match the same name as a product that is not PPI.
Also, was it Countrywide Assured that sold it to you. If it was bought via an estate agent, mortgage broker or adviser that was not an employee of Countrywide, then you wouldnt complain to countrywide. And if that was the case and it pre-dates 14th January 2005, then you have no-one to complain to as that makes it pre-regulation of those.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Just to be clear about terminology
You ake a claim when you have suffered a claimable event, such as losing your job, or suffering a critical illness etc.
You make a complaint when you want to ask for any monies back you feel you are entitled to due to a missale.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Are you sure it is not buildings and or contents? That is usually what countrywide hpp on a bank statement is.I am a Mortgage Adviser
