Hi
I have printed it off from my online account with them, which shows they have made an adjustment and credited the money back on, it shows up as customer refund. Its been dragging on for months but now feels it was worth it.0 -
Well done for pushing it this far. It's a shame about Energywatch's comment however. Surely as regulators they should ensure that these kind of complaints are dealt with promptly and without stress to the consumer. You can guarantee that everything is dealt with promptly if it was the electric company making a complaint.0

Hi
Well all seems well. Had a letter for eon today (formerly powergen) saying they have adjusted my account and the balance is now £0. It states that their specialist team have investigated my account and as the meter wasnt recalibrated to correct prices I was not at fault. So at least I now have it in writing.0 -
Do elec companies increase the prices for pre-pay meters remotely instead of coming to alter it themselves?0
-
Most meters are noe meant to update prices automatically, but they dont always do this. If its a very old meter they need to be done manually.0

Queenie, I've seen this thread for the first time today and just want to say well done on sticking up for yourself like you have. I don't think I'd have kept my composure as well as you did, and it's great to see a happy ending. If only it hadn't got that far in the first place.0

It was alot of trouble and energywatch was not very helpful. I did speak to Energywatch yesterday and they had not contacted eon since November. I really didnt think they would wipe the whole amount, but I am like a dog with a bone, if I feel im in the right I would fight it until the death.0

You should maybe send a letter to Energywatch thanking them for their lack of help lol0
