up 2.96% today or 2.9P, now 101.02p
Time to buy?
Presumably a better time would have been before it went up by the 3p. So, maybe now will be 'next best'...0 -

If you mean Gordon Brown why don't you say so instead of referring to his sight, the result of an accident if I recall correctly, and insulting his intelligence?0 -

Not selling anything yet but will need to free up 20-25% of my SIPP TO TAKE MY PCLS next Summer before some scummy government abolishes or taxes it (legality questionable because the pension contract was entered into based on 25% tax free cash and not the renamed by the one eyed Scottish idiot, but still tax free PCLS)
Which 'scummy government' currently proposes to abolish or tax the PCLS (whether legally questionable, morally questionable etc etc)?
You might find that taking it relatively earlier gives a poor result, if for example you can't fit it all into an ISA / VCT or similar scheme to let it grow tax free (or you can initially, but some "scummy government" arbitrarily changes the rules to make such profits taxable) and you would have been better leaving it in the pension instead of swallowing the conspiracy theory made up at your local pub
If you take it out of your pension as a rant against the politicians, to control it in your own bank account, you'll regret that when a future 'scummy government' decides to confiscate the assets of OAPs with large savings accounts balances in the interests of intergenerational fairness, but protects pension assets which are designed to see you through a long retirement (such assets as are currently excluded from means tests etc).
Is the quality of a particular politician's eyesight some recognised correlator with scummyness or IQ? Or did you mention it in a derogatory way just to give us an insight into some of your less-than wholesome characteristics? Perhaps all your paranoia is a result of your not being nice about other people so you assume they all hate you in return and are going to come at you. A problem you could eradicate by not being so insulting.0 -

If you were referring to Gordon Brown the he hardly fits the idea of an idiot for most people.ffacoffipawb wrote: »...the one eyed Scottish idiot,
He was accepted by the University of Edinburgh at the age of 16 where, despite losing the sight of one eye as a result of a rugby match and much of the sight in the other, he obtained a First-Class Honours MA and later a doctorate.
But please astonish us with the highlights of your own educational achievements against the odds that causes you to sneer at others.0 -
