Thanks for all this help, I think I have almost decided now, just one last question I promise. Bill mentioned old graphics cards that may not support widescreen, I have a 5 year old card, Nvidia GeForce MX11 would anyone know if that would support it? Thanks0

Sorry Bill, I typed it wrong, its a GeForce 2 MX. I dont think that will support widescreen but the motherboard (Asus P5VDC-MX) is only 11 months old and has 64MB shared graphics, do you think that would support widescreen?0

Looking around the Geforce 2 MX may support widescreen resolutions if you download the latest drivers from the nvidia website, it's difficult to find a definitive answer.
Looking around there seem to be some problems with Via Integrated graphics supporting widescreen as well. You may need new drivers but some people have had to flash their BIOS.
