Thats why you mark the position of the old tie rod on the thread carefully and make sure the tie rods are the same. Have changed these and lower balljoints without ever needing tracking done.0

You changed them and didnt get the tracking done, does not mean the tracking was perfectly setup afterwards.

I've also had very poor tracking done and tracking at different garages that did not agree with each other by 3 degrees. Anyway the proof that the tracking was OK afterwards was that the tyres lasted ages with no uneven wear.0
