I am moving about today - still holding on to things and I sound like a broken whistling kettle btu slowly I have sortd one bag at a time - bag of clothes, bag of sheets and duvet cover (found the pillowcases at the bottom of a pile of stuff. Sat on the bed sorting into one craft stuff bag, one paperwork, one other stuff + rubbish and paper recycling sack.
Took a book back to the library this afternoon (renewed the rest online last night). Was going to go there and back but mum wanted me to get some money out for her and then went a bit further. Very very slowly and with frequent sit downs. Aching a lot now (bit like a flu ache) but I want to finish what I have started.
Doing a mini shift round of the bedroom furniture (still looking for that elusive extra room). need to get the big quilt out from under the bed as I have been a bit cold the last few nights. Lots of rubbish gone out but the kitchen will have to wait until weekend. Will see f DS3 will turn the mattress for me.
Today I am grateful for progress, slow but getting there, for good simple food - cheese spread on the loaf crusts and a bung it in the oven meal (eaten so much food that the food bag is now the library books bag with a few bits of food, celery, jam and the remains of the cheese spread) and it waiting until I was back home before it started to rain heavily. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Today I am grateful for a good day at work, for finishing off one batch of crafting, for dd wanting to do more taekwondo, for a peaceful afternoon, for my copy of the Primal Blueprint arriving ('loaned' my other copy to someone yonks ago, can't even remember who, so got myself another one), for the multicoloured fairy lights in the lounge, for planting up some seeds and heathers, for headspace, for podcasts, for the A-team always beating the baddies.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Last 3 days have been NSDs taking me to 7/15
. My sister is up visiting tomorrow and Saturday so will probably spend money, have budgeted for this though.
Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.980 -
Quite a spendy day here. First had to take rabbits for their vaccinations, I normally budget for these sorts of things but I completely forgot so I put it on the credit card and will pay it off. £78 for the two of them.
Then I rang a private physio company with the aim of getting an appointment for my ankle. I went to my gp a few days ago after waiting a month for an appointment and they basically told me I'm better off going private because the waiting list is so long. I was annoyed but I also understand the logic, with a relatively minor, albeit niggling and painful, injury like mine the quicker it's treated the better. So basically I spent £50 on a physio assessment. I also put that on the card but will be adding it to my injury claim so hope to get the money back.
I also bought some makeup online which was a planned spend, and a 2019 diary and a small notebook so that I can make a scrapbook of my instant camera photos from my trip to Iceland. Just a weird little thing I've decided to start doing to document some of the more fun things I do.
All in all, a pretty spendy day. I also went to the gym as my membership started today, only spent 40 minutes there but enjoyed it and the gym is really nice and VERY good value.0 -

I'm afraid I'm still on NSD 4/15 - not doing so well this month.
EXERCISE Not much exercise today but loads yesterday climbing up and down stairs at two castles I visited with friends. We visited 4 locations used in the Outlander series - very exciting.
ORGANISE I decluttered and organised a large cupboard in my bedroom. What a difference now so I'm very much in the mood for tackling more cupboards.
I'm staying in tomorrow so really hoping not to spend any money xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Hi all,

Hi all :j
Challenge: Oops forgot this one yesterday! Don't smoke & rarely drink either, so it has to be giving up unhealthy snacks..Snacks Ok but eaten more due to having visitors. DH makes the sandwiches, had to ask how much butter he put on them....it wasn't very soft he said, so I had to spread it thick. I think he sliced it....
No Spend Challenge: Do like the sound of this but do my shopping on Tuesday, I could prep by shopping at the weekend but hate going then & never do if humanly possible to avoid....hmm will have to ponder. Will make an exception for Tuesday & try for a 6 day week.. Spending freeze today.
Organise. Start as you mean to go on. Know the contents of your fridge, freezer and cupboards. Plan your meals around them. Cook from scratch. Don't buy anything you can make unless cost /time taken dictates otherwise. If you are new to turtle challenges or still have full cupboards you could try living from the cupboards. Sandwiches & growlers for lunch, finally campfire stew for supper. Loads left as still full from lunchtime.
Regular budget items should be set by 1st October. If you don't know how much you are spending on food or petrol, now is the time to find out. Question every purchase - need or want? No purchases today.
No Spend Days. Aim for 20 (high target) or 15 (low). Am aiming for 15 but hoping for more. Now 7/15.
Improvise. Make do and mend with a creative twist. think of a substitute ingredient, how to make an old/broken piece of furniture last a little longer. Friend who came round tried to fix dripping tap in downstairs cloakroom, sadly unsuccessful. However, he will do some research to see if he can get the bit (not the washer) that was corroded so he can replace it.
Exercise Four times a week at least (20 minutes minimum but can be done 10 minutes at a time). Get outside in daylight as often as possible. No time outside again today, other than with friend to see where we could site an outside light for the steps Tricky problem, but have a few solutions to ponder.
Christmas Looked at some online site with a view to purchase when spending freeze thaws.
Banned Will only be chippys normally with the odd takeaway planned for a celebration etc. No takeaways today.
Extra Income and Extra time Did survey & friend offering to fix tap & do some electrics - for no payment.
Report in, daily if possible I'm here..

NSD 9 today
I have everything that I need for today, and while I could wing it if it were just me, not sure if DH and the kids are quite as 'up' for crazy combination meal planning as I am.
Will have to shop over weekend though.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
