What is the problem with using it here? Is it frowned upon to ask for help? I'm not into this kind of shenanigans: I've always thought using pseudonyms is a strange thing to do.
2 reasons:
1) You break forum rules by using your real name
2) You don't want the PPC to know who you are - as already posted the PPCS monitor here and can use posts in your thread against you
And it is certainly a bad idea to put your real name in any public forum like this - there are lots of bad people who could use your details!
(All advice here is for your benefit - your decision whether to take it! Not frowned on to ignore it, but don't expect to get a lot of help if you ignore the advice given)0 -
Reason 1 I can accept… as for the PPCs (I know it's got something to do with car parks but it says mis-pronounced Parochial Church Council or Press Complaints Commission to me!) I didn't think I'd say anything here that I wouldn't say in my complaint to them anyway.
I'll find out how to change my name to protect the guilty though.
(Oh, and I mean did the evaluaters or whatever they're called frown on people asking for help…)0 -

Right, pulling a couple of the examples out and trying to compare for similarities for my situation, may I run through these and see if I'm in the right area:
- Grace Period: BPA Code of Practice non-compliance (Not sure about this one: 34 minutes overtime?)
- Inadequate signage at entrance and lettering of charge too small to see in the mass of yellow background
- Operator has not establish who was driving
- No evidence of landowner authority to collect parking fees
- No evidence of actual parking event—only entry and exit to and from car park—fails to meet requirement of POFA 2012
- Vehicle images in NTK do not meet BPA Code of Practice
- ANPR System not reliable or accurate
- Signs fail to transparently warn drivers of what the ANPR data will be used for
- No planning consent with Warrington Borough Council for signage

Presumably they are pursuing the keeper not the driver??
And read up on BPA Grace Period (it's not that long!!)0 -
Yes, the driver is unidentified, and I have no wish to get yet another party involved.
I've been reading people using arguments about the BPA Grace Period, but haven't found an article stating what it is… I'll go hunt. Thanks.0 -

Here you go - BPA Code of Practice
https://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/AOS_Code_of_Practice_January_2018.pdf
Section 13. Be aware (and utilise if possible) that there are 2 Grace Periods - one on entry (before the parking contract commences), and one on leaving the car park. I have to say though, that 34 minutes is stretching it. But it's only ECP, so stick it to them and see what they respond with! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Sometimes you can be waiting five or ten minutes to get through to the bays in that particular car park: people often sit there waiting for a space to come free blocking through traffic. It's very poorly managed anyway; it occasionally queues right out onto the main A56.0

assuming you are getting your name changed, then ask others not to quote it in their posts!
Hopefully Umkomaas reads this!!0 -
I'll find out how to change my name to protect the guilty though.Q. How can I change my username?
A. In most circumstances, this is not permitted.
The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.
If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.0
