Why anyone would still want paper statements is beyond a joke these days.
Download the app and login in 2 seconds or go to online banking.
Set a reminder in your caendar to do it every month.
If you opt for paperless with Halifax they will send you a test when new statements and other let's are avaliable for you to read.
Quit killing nature just so you can get a pointless letter in the post0 -

Not everyone has a computer, or online banking or phone with data, I know my phone would not cope with apps as it's old. I prefer to get a statement for my credit card in the post.0 -

The fact that you are able to use this forum shows you have access to a device that would be suitable to view statements online.0 -

I’m quite sure a few sheets of paper a year used far less natural resources than producing and charging you smart phone.
If someone opts to use online banking that is fine and has its merits but it doesn’t explain why Halifax failed to post so many statements.
Anyway looks like whatever the issue was has been resolved as people are now getting their October statements ok.0 -

Because some people do not like to download the apps. If you are banking with 30 Banks / BS are you going to download all of their apps ??0 -
I haven't received a paper statement from Barclays this month. Nor Tesco, MBNA, Barclaycard, or anybody else for that matter. Barstards!I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

But people will have the smartphone anyway and will keep it charged anyway so only a very small amount of extra power will be used to check online banking. This power can be produced using renewable energy sources.
Compare this to cost of paper, ink, transporting the letters etc then letter are far far more damaging to the environment.Because some people do not like to download the apps. If you are banking with 30 Banks / BS are you going to download all of their apps ??
Why wouldn't you download all the apps?. I find it far easier to log into most apps than logging into online banking which usually requires you to remember alot of extra information.
All the apps on my phone use a simple passcode or fingerprint once setup compared to having to remember loads of different customer numbers etc to log in from a web browser.0
