    B&M have 10Kg bags of briquettes for only £4 a bag. Easy to light, minimal smoke, and one will last ages.

    We went through a phase of making paper briquettes when we first got our stove

    They took months to dry

    We actually just finished burning them earlier in the year as we were moving the wood pile and came across them - 9 years later lol

    When really dry, they do burn ok, but only as something to keep a fire going late evening, when its hot already. Hell of a lot of ash to clear out though
