My wife applied including switch 15 days ago, switch happened yesterday okay, but still haven't got digital key and number.
Debit card through in matter of days, telephone banking set up and internet banking so able to see account if not able to add DDs and so on.
In answer to the OP I would say around three weeks to fully set up with all functions, providing you are accepted at the time of application. Longer if other checks required.0 -
Hi guys recently did the switch online. Had a final screen saying please go into branch to prove id. Had to setup a meeting and complete the account. All sorted and got setup account now including internet banking etc. Guy in branch said the switch hasn't happened but when i did it online i put all account info into switch but have had no email confirmation.
Do you think the switch is actually going ahead? Has anyone seen a switch section when logged into online banking? Theyve setup another meeting in branch next week as im switching donor so didnt have card. I might call call centre to check instead!
Ive done a fair few swithces and HSBC dont make it simple compared to others! I know they have the best switching offer and they seem to be making me work for it!0 -
Applied for a joint account a couple of weeks ago, letter today saying rejected, went online and applied for sole basic accounts for us both and opened straight away. Will settle for £75 each and probably not keep them too long.0
