full stops and paragraphs have gone for a walk again.and if you dont see full stops in my post then i suggest you get your eyes checked
First of all, putting four full stops in a row doesn't mean you have used up your quota and the rest can do without. Secondly, we would need our eyes checked if you keep up that writing style. 8 year olds can do better than that.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

This Cashplus account sounds worrying. Is it one of those that charges the customer for basic transactions?0
-
Also the question of the cancelled insurance - would most reasonable people agree that you wouldn't need to declare it where the reason had been bank admin issues (rather than something like track racing or fraud)?0
-
Im pretty sure i still have to declare it cause a friend of mine had his insurance cancelled and didnt declare it on the new policy and they sent him a letter in 4 days saying the policy is voided due to incorrect information , therefore incorrect quote. And yes the Cashplus account is full of charges but i have the one where im just paying £5.95 a month and apart from £2 per ATM withdrawal i dont pay any fees , and i only withdraw once a month so isnt too bad for me. Thanks for the input by the way , finally someone who's actually intelligent.0

Wasnt aware Id been rude very sorry to have caused offence Im sure Anyway you never mentioned that a prior Direct Debit had bounced in your opening post so it all seemed like your first attempt to pay had not been collected and the insurance company cancelled your policy almost immediately I still find it strange that the debit card payment never worked either That does indeed suggest that Cashplus is something to be treated with care as it can obviously mess up your life I would agree that Cashplus does seem to have a lot to answer for here However I would also suggest that the question about having an insurance policy cancelled only relates to situations where it has been cancelled because the insurer thought you were an unacceptable risk or had lied or had committed some kind of fraud None of that applies here so I wouldn't be answering Yes to that question if it were me Good luck with your compensation claim from the bank and maybe change banks0

Thanks a lot for the input Terry Towell. My previous post' were aimed at the other people , you didnt say anything bad so no worries

As with the direct debit it bounced back even tho i had money in the account but i wasn't aware of that until i think it was the 14th of September after work , I noticed an email from the insurer stating that the DD was missed and i need to make the payment by the 17th of September. So on Monday last week i deposited some cash into the account as i had the monthly fee deducted already so didnt have enough to make that payment. I deposited the cash , made the payment online and all seemed to be fine , the money have been deducted from my account and the insurers website didn't state the payment didnt go thru or anything. Next day i get an email from the insurance that my policy was cancelled due to a non payment. So i started to chase it up but only like 2 days later i was informed by Cashplus that they had some sort of system issues where transactions have been declined and money being held , so that's when i raised the complaint with Cashplus and also tried to explain the problem to the insurance company. Im still waiting for a response from the insurer but the Cashplus have already offered me £50 as a gesture of goodwill but i didnt accept it because their system fault created a problem for me that will clearly affect my finances. They sent me an email yesterday , saying they will do their best to resolve it as soon as possible and they have until the 11th of October to make a decision.0 -
