    Here’s where I’m confused. I know I’ll not get any payment but it says you can if someone else makes payment to the landlord. My dad pays the rent so could that be classed as one of the criteria.

    As stated I know I won’t receive payment and that’s fine but it’s all very confusing.

    Your dad pays the rent because he's the tenant and this won't qualify you to receive the SDP unfortunately.

    If my dad gets Carers Allowance for my mum but not for me am I then eligible for SDP?

    No, not unless your dad receives a qualifying benefit too such as DLA mid/high rate care, PIP daily living or Attendance Allowance.
