ParkingEye Help! Parking Charging Notice

Hello,
I have PCN from ParkingEye company with BPA logo on It as well. Come trough post yesterday nothing on windscreen. I stayed on car park longer for 1 hour and 6 minutes. They want £60 for that. I been reading a lot of informations on websites and on forums. Really confused now. Yes it is my fault. But fine is massive and I don't/can't pay it. I would paid at least £5 but not more... I'm in really hard financial situation. I been at job centre that day, I didn't know it would take that long, but I parked on Range car park. How I can appeal to reduce this fine? Maybe I should go to store and speak to manager, but not been shopping. Or should I appeal as keeper but not a driver? What to do next? I don't know what to do. I'm just devastated… I'm not sure if you will be able to help me? :(

  • Yes I did, I was thinking to send an appeal as keeper but not driver by myself but what happened next if they want me to give driver details and I dont provide them?
  • the newbies thread gives you very succinct directions on what to do.

Does the Parking eye charge notice include the POFA wording on the back? Did it arrive within 14 days? If YES to both these, there is little point trying to avoiid naming the driver, because they can use POFA to recover the money anyway from the vehicles keeper

if the answer is NO then you MUST hit EDIT and remove ANY clue as to who drove.
  • Yes I just appeal with this notice what i found on NEWBIES and said I was not the driver. I'm scared as I never had any fine before. I'll let you know what they reply if they reply. But even this notice and first picture is not clear enough. I mean it is just registration on black screen. Amout of the fine is rediciolus! 😪
  • Did you REALLY lie, or did you mean to say you just appealed as Keeper?

it isnt a fine. Its an invoice. Stop using the "F" word!

Answer my questions in post #4 please.
  • Yes it does have protection of freedom act, I just did what been advised to do trough this NEWBIES. Oh dear... yes I lied.

The newbies thread doesn't tell you to say you were not the driver.

It tells you to submit the template appeal, ticking 'registered keeper'. No adding any words like ''I was not the driver''.

Never mind but surely you did not add words to the template appeal? What did you add?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • I didnt add anything to this appeal there is questionare online and I fill that. They asking for reason and I put not the driver should put 'other'... but i can fill that appeal again. Or if they ask me to notify driver I can point my other half. I didn't understand this until you explained... that's why I ask for help.. But I start panicking and fill that form by myself.

wait and see what they come back with, especially as it has the POFA2012 paragraph warning, plus if it arrived within 14 days it doesnt matter if the driver was admitted, as if they followed POFA2012 (the law) then they can hold a keeper liable, even if they were NOT the driver

if they come back with a rejection and a popla code, you can then appeal to popla

however, if after all of this you are found to be liable, then you may not be able to "wriggle" out of it , UNLESS there was a valid and legal reason for being on that site ?

in future, park on the public road, not a private car park, because these cameras are everywhere
