What’s a 3D fan to do?

I’ve been with Sky for over 20 years. Ditched sport last year and haven’t regretted it. I sometimes watch Sky Atlantic but really it was the movies I was after. Over the past 6 months or so, the new Sky movies selections have been dire.
A couple of examples are Paddington2 and The Post being on Prime and not on Sky.
I have no problem ditching this now and getting Now TV but will miss two things...
I like the films that I do watch to be in UHD. I know Netflix & Prime are available but does Now TV stream in UHD?
Also, I’m in the minority that actually likes watching 3D. Does anyone other than Sky offer 3D?
Thanks for your help on these questions..

Do you still actually have a TV that supports 3D?
Even if you have, no new TV set has the functionality any more and so it will shortly no longer be available to anyone. Even Sky's offering has long since been relegated from being a fully broadcast channel. As demand will continue to decline, it'll die a slow and quiet death.I like the films that I do watch to be in UHD. I know Netflix & Prime are available but does Now TV stream in UHD?
That's the reason it's so much cheaper.0 -

By sales and subscription records, it looks like you are indeed in the minority, and 3D in the home has failed again. Maybe if they'd waited until glasses-less had got good enough - Nintendo 3DS, and I think Toshiba was making bigger and bigger TVs with it, they might have succeeded.0 -
OP, if you like 3D (I'm also in the minority that does), you could go down the 3d projector route.
I have an Optimax 3d HD projector and a 180" screen in my living room. Couldn't get the OH to agree to mounting the projector but the screen is mounted on eye bolts. I put the projector on a table at the other end of the room, connect it up to a 3d blu ray player and some active 3d glasses, turn the sofa round 90 degrees and I'm happy as larry.
Most of the big 3d cinema releases come out on 3d blu ray, and if you wait a couple of months for them to drop to a reasonable price, you get to own a 3d movie (and the 2d version) to watch at home when you want for the price of a couple of cinema tickets. Obviously works for non 3d movies as well. The set up cost me about £400, and a bit of sweetening up of the OH (excluding the player which I already had for my 3d TV which I hardly ever use).0 -
It's only a matter of time before new 3D Blu-Rays cease being released at all.
They were always niche, but without TV manufacturer support, they'll quickly become unavailable.0 -
£D tv is nowhere near as good as 3D at the cinema. I remember watching films in 3D,at Alton Towers, many years ago and those films made you duck as it really did felt as though a wooden pole was going to hit you.
There are the odd surprises with 3D on tv,such as fairies and birds seeming to come out of the set, but the effect is spoiled by having a screen small enough to see the surrounding room and contents.
It was a novelty for me for about a month and then I began not to notice it.0
