Biomass Range Cooker/boiler

Hi,
We are moving into a new house that needs ripping out and starting again.
It currently has a small internal oil boiler for hot water and heating.
We are looking g to remove most of the internal walls to leave one large combined living space to replace the existing kitchen, lounge and dining rooms.
We were invested in biomass and the range cooker style set ups came to our attention.
Are these a suitable alternative to having a separate biomass boiler and oven/cooker?
What happens in summer when the heating is off.? Can we still use the oven/hob?
Sorry for these basic questions. I can't seem to find a lot of practical info on these units... Only sales bumph!
